Wiltshire Independent Visitor Scheme

Name: Wiltshire's Independent Visitor Scheme is looking for people who can spare a couple of hours of their time every 3-4 weeks
Organisation: Wiltshire Independent Visitor Scheme
Location: IV Scheme, Conference and Reviewing Service, Wiltshire Council, County Hall, Bythesea Road, Trowbridge, Wiltshire, BA14 8JN
Type: Full Time
Full time meaning long term commitment for a child/young person in care. This is an opportunity for you to more than likely be the only constant figure in their young lives which is often chaotic with professionals and foster carers coming and going. Some of our matches have been going for three/four years, some have ended the scheme and still in touch with each other 12 years later! We would anticipate you meeting with the child/young person you're matched with every 3/4 weeks for around a couple of hours or more depending on the activity or how well you get on, it all depends!
