Description

As a SHARE volunteer, you will be helping the day-to-day running of the library of things, ensuring customers feel welcome, understand the project and encourage involvement.

Your tasks will include: Manning the front desk, till-work as required, welcoming customers, registering new members, booking items in & out, tidying shelves and cleaning, checking over returned items, answering queries and promoting the project.

We are looking for passionate volunteers who are enthusiastic about the work of SHARE. You will have good communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to get along with people and work as part of a team. Flexible time commitment, ideally volunteers should be available for a 2-hour shift per week.

Organisation Description

SHARE is a community space for Frome, a place for people to borrow objects, share skills and connect with others.

We aim to get people spending less, wasting less and connecting more. And by doing this, help people to save money, reduce waste, and cultivate a happier and more resilient community.

Volunteers are at the heart of SHARE and may wholly run the service in the future. Sharing your time increases the sustainability of SHARE and helps it to be an effective and valued resource for the people of Frome.
