Meetings take place 7 times per year on Tuesdays late afternoon/ early evenings. Appointments are usually for a 4 year period although you may resign at any time.
A vacancy has arisen on the governing body of Trinity First School. To complement the skills of the current governing body we would welcome a volunteer from the wider community, ideally someone who works in a local business or has a business background.
Governors play an important part in the life of the school; helping to decide the framework for the development of the school and monitoring whether it's achieving its aims and objectives. They also assist with the appointment of staff, make decisions on building and grounds maintenance, set school budgets and monitor spend.
Meetings take place 7 times a year. Training is provided for all Governors.

Trinity First School has approx 300 pupil aged 4 -9. It's situated on the western edge of Frome.
Have enthusiasm for the school and children's education.
Be able to give time for meetings, visits and training.
Have the ability to consider the wider issues and consider the interests of all pupils of the school.
