Description

We are recruiting volunteers to play with 11 yr. old Colm who has autism for 4 hours per week using the Son-Rise Program ®, a child-focused play therapy based on the cornerstones of love and acceptance - no experience necessary, we will train you. Nr. Peasedown St. John.

Colm is a loving and funny boy who loves reading, birds of prey, fishing, adventures and practical jokes. Playing with his volunteers in his Son-Rise Program (R) helps him communicate better, be more flexible and be a good friend. Since the family started Colm's Son-Rise program 2 years ago, he has flourished. We are now looking to grow our team of volunteers.

Organisation Description

We run a home-based Son-Rise Program for our 11 year old son Colm who has autism. We are looking for volunteers to play with Colm twice a week (4 hours total) in this unique play therapy. No experience necessary, we will train you.

Colm is a loving and funny boy who loves reading, birds of prey, fishing, adventures and practical jokes. Playing with his volunteers in his Son-Rise Program (R) helps him communicate better, be more flexible and be a good friend. Since the family started Colm's Son-Rise program 2 years ago, he has flourished. We are now looking to grow our team of volunteers.
