Description

As a repair person you will be helping, in our repair space, fix items in the shop, whilst also maintaining and evolving the repair space so that it is a useful and well equipped space for people to use.

Your tasks will include:
- Helping to repair faulty or damaged items that are donated or returned to the shop,
- Cleaning and maintaining tools,
- Helping to maintain a well-equipped repair space,
- Take part in our Repair Workshops.

Organisation Description

SHARE is a community space for Frome, a place for people to borrow objects, share skills and connect with others.

We aim to get people spending less, wasting less and connecting more. And by doing this, help people to save money, reduce waste, and cultivate a happier and more resilient community.

Volunteers are at the heart of SHARE and may wholly run the service in the future. Sharing your time increases the sustainability of SHARE and helps it to be an effective and valued resource for the people of Frome.

Requirements

We are looking for passionate volunteers who are enthusiastic about the work of SHARE.

We aim to get people spending less, wasting less and connecting more. And by doing this, help people to save money, reduce waste, and cultivate a happier and more resilient community.

You will have good communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to get along with people and work as part of a team. Excellent attention to detail and DYI, Repair and Maintenance Skills essential for this role.
